REEHEE: “Rap music has taken a back seat in my rotation of listening. Why? Because rap music has become a circus of cheap Casio keyboard production and just down-right horrible rappers. The phony gangsta mentality along with the block party, big booty, bling does not represent the hip-hop culture. Rap music is supposed to be pure, conscious and backed up by versatile DJ's who can supply musical samples, organic beats, and the scratch. This mix is all of that. Enjoy!!”

SHRED: “I truly miss this kind of music: funky beats, intelligent samples & wise words. What happened? There was definitely a time when hip hop ruled my speakers. The downfall for me really began when rappers started paying more attention to the appearance of the 'product' rather than the content of the cuts. I still search out choice cuts, but it is getting difficult, which strikes me as disappointing, given rap is the most popular form of music today (if you're looking at music sales, both downloads & retail).
